When you start to think about buying a home there are often a lot of things going through your mind. We put together this list to help you organize the confusion as you prepare to buy a home.
1 - Confirm that you are able to access vital financial information. Refresh your memory on how to access pay stubs, W2s, tax returns, bank statements, 401k statements, etc. The easier it is for you to access these things, the faster you will be able to get necessary information to your loan officer.
2 - Decide what time of day you will be available to discuss any mortgage related needs. It will help your loan officer know when to expect communication from you along the way. If you have communication preferences don’t hesitate to let them know! (i.e. work email rather than personal email, text during certain times of day, a text to let you know about an incoming email, certain times you’re unavailable for calls)
3 - Remember that everything the loan officer does is to help you. They don’t want you to feel badgered or bothered but sometimes they can’t move forward on something without consent or a specific document from you.
We are all in this together and we want to make the process as painless as possible. Reach out today if you are ready to see what home loan option is right for you!
